Small farmers sell individually, receive lower prices, face high transport costs, and lack access to bulk buyers — because agricultural supply chains are fragmented and collective selling systems are weak.
Margin captured downstream — by aggregators, traders and intermediaries — while the farmer who took the harvest risk earns the least.

Who owns the crop until it's sold?
The farmer does. SajhaFasal AI is infrastructure — pool membership doesn't transfer ownership. A confirmed buyer purchase against the pool triggers settlement and payout.
How is each farmer's share calculated?
By contributed kilograms, less their share of transport & platform fee, plus any quality bonus. The full math sits in the Revenue Ledger and is hash-signed.
What happens if a pool can't sell?
The pool returns to OPEN. Listings stay valid through their harvest window. The coordinator can re-route to a different buyer or break the pool back into individual listings.
Is the platform free for farmers?
Yes. Farmers never pay to list or pool. Revenue comes from buyer-side commission, logistics coordination, buyer subscriptions and premium analytics.
Do I need a smartphone to use it?
A basic Android with internet is enough. The app is voice-first, low-bandwidth, and works in 11 Indian languages. SMS & WhatsApp notifications cover the rest.
How do you verify quality?
Three layers: farmer-declared grade, coordinator field inspection, and buyer-confirmed grade at pickup. AgriScore aggregates all three over time.
Where will SajhaFasal AI run first?
Bihar — rural clusters around Muzaffarpur, starting with tomato and onion smallholders. The platform itself works pan-India from day one.
How can a buyer or FPO partner with you?
